Chapter 224: Meeting Her Again
Chapter 224: Meeting Her Again
The auction had ended. Aleera walked out of the lift with Arba and a few other sisters. She had a smile on her face. "Never thought that a small district like Dewhurst would have so many good things."
Arba nodded. "Who would have thought they would have Limit Breaking potion that could let a peak rank four mage become rank 5? Now our one more person could become the elder of World Magic Alliance."
The lowest requirement to become the elder of the World Magic Alliance was to become rank 5 mage. Furthermore, there were only around two hundred elders, including twenty rank 6 mages. Reaching Mature Rank was no small feat. As for Assimilation... it was almost impossible. Otherwise there won’t be only twenty people on the entire Pengolla.
Aleera and her sisters stood on the side, letting the crowd pass. However, at this moment a man appeared inside the shop out of nowhere. He was covered in crimson liquid from head to toe, reeking of blood and sweat. His clothes had been tattered and his face looked tired, though there hung a smile at the corner of his lips. He looked rather pleasant. As he walked inside the shop, the blood dripped down, leaving a trail behind.
"Who’s that?" asked Aleera. Her eyes shining brightly. She could tell that he was rank 5 mage, yet he wasn’t someone from the Alliance. Though She felt as if she had seen him somewhere before. She frowned. Unable to recall.
"He’s the owner of the shop," replied Arba.
"Owner of the shop..." Aleera muttered and then she remembered where she had seen—or meet—him. She curled her lips. "Interesting. Let’s go." And she walked away together with everyone else, vanishing amidst the crowd of people.

Kadyn walked inside the house, and fell upon a sofa. No one was home yet. Auction had just ended.
Soon his eyes started to feel heavy, falling into deep sleep. An unknown amount of time passed when he opened his eyes and came back to his senses. It was already night time. Rayna was inside the kitchen, preparing the dinner while Elora and Zelie were helping her. Melvona and Kove were playing outside the house. He could hear them laughing. Night or no night, it didn’t matter in the shop. Even if it did, it wouldn’t matter for children. That’s how they are. Children.
Dion was playing the videogame on the mobile phone. Though the mobile phones weren’t ideal choice for communication as Psychic mage could easily trace the signals and decipher the entire message from it. Furthermore, there were better gadgets to play games, but Kadyn prohibited them. He didn’t want anyone to waste too much time on gaming. Taking a break for some time was alright, but becoming addicted would do no good. They had better things to do than waste their time on such things.
"You are awake, boss," Dion said when he lifted his gaze, hiding the mobile phone in his pocket, looking embarrassed.
"It’s alright," Kadyn waved his hand. "Carry on. I would go take a long refreshing bath."

Kadyn belched satisfyingly, as he strolled towards the shop. However, just when he reached at the entrance of the main hall of the shop, he halted abruptly, turning around and said, "Show yourself."
Around ten meters away the space started to twist and turn and a figure revealed in front of him. Kadyn’s eyes widened. That familiar face, he could never forget it. Her curvaceous body and slim waist, her charming green eyes and black hair. She was perfect in every sense. Same as before. Same as the first time he had seen her. "Alee—"
"Aleera," said the lady with a slight smile. "I’m surprised you still remember me."
"No one can forget you with that beautiful face...uh," he stopped, realizing he had spoken a bit too loud for his own sake. "I mean—"
"It’s alright," she chuckled. "You are trying too hard."
Kadyn flushed in embarrassment. It had been a long time he felt so foolish in front of someone.
"I wanted to talk to you—"
Suddenly a ball of white fire descended over Aleera. She waved her hand and something portal-like opened in front of her, swallowing the attack before vanishing.
A small bird appeared and settled over Kadyn’s shoulder. It glared at Aleera with its fiery eyes and said, "How dare you invade our shop. Who are you? Were you trying to assassinate Kadyn?"
Aleera blinked in surprise but then smile appeared on her face, curling her lips, she said, "Previously I heard a talk about a bird man. If I’m not wrong—"
Before Alera could let the cat out of the bag, Kadyn said, "What did you want to talk to me?"
Aleera eyed Alera and smiled. "Can we go inside before speaking?"
"Uh, yes," said Kadyn and led her inside the shop. Alera grunted in dissatisfaction, glaring at Aleera but remained silent.
Her cute act only amused Aleera. She chuckled and followed them inside.
"I don’t think you are here to search for the Birdman," said Kadyn, taking a seat.
"No," Aleera said as she settled in front of him.
Kadyn remained silent, waiting for her to tell him her reason for this sudden visit.
Aleera began. "I’m an elder of the World Magic Alliance—"
Kadyn immediately became a lot more alert. He could feel she was strong. Stronger than him, at least. He didn’t know if he could take her down even with the help of the shop.
"—you don’t need to worry. The so-called World Magic Alliance isn’t as righteous or united as you think it might be. We have differences and we would love to see our competitors into deep mud. I’m not that close to dwarves anyway."
Only then did Kadyn sigh in relief, but now he had became cautious. She was no ordinary human being that he had previous presumed.
"Alright, we get it," said Alera. "Now, spit it out for whatever reason you are here."
Aleera looked at her and smiled. "Celestial Flame Sparrow. Never thought I would be able to see one in the lower world like Pengolla."
