Chapter 1203: What Are You Really Angry About?

Because Lily Turner couldn’t go out to play easily with her big belly, Athena Linton had to give up the idea of taking Lily to meet her friends, but she didn’t want to go home and watch TV with her grandfather and the others, as that was too boring.

Athena Linton no longer insisted on taking Lily out to play, and everyone immediately felt at ease, especially her mother, Serena Zimmerman.

Even though they had been chatting with other elders all evening, her mom was always observing her, fearing she might accidentally ’hurt’ Lily.

After finishing the New Year’s Eve dinner, the family left the restaurant and went home.

Since Lily couldn’t go out to play with her, Athena Linton had to stay at home, but her phone kept ringing as her friends called one after another, inviting her to hang out.

"Athena! Your friends are calling you out, so go play, I’ll go watch TV with my grandpa," Lily said just after getting home when Athena pulled her into her room. But after they barely started chatting, her phone began to ring again.

Athena was torn between wanting to go out and wanting to stay home and chat with Lily, feeling so conflicted, "If only you could go out and play with me."

She clung to Lily’s arm, her face full of helplessness.

"I promise I’ll go out to play with you in the future, with the little baby," Lily said, touching her protruding belly, her face filled with happy anticipation for the baby’s arrival in her belly.

Athena was momentarily affected, raising her hand to touch Lily’s big belly; it was her first time touching a pregnant woman’s belly, and the feeling was so magical.

"Ah!"

The baby inside suddenly moved, and Athena was startled by the baby’s movement for the first time, raising her hand from the belly, "Goddess sister! Why is he (she) moving?!"

She pointed at Lily’s belly, filled with curiosity and shock.

"The baby is saying hello to you," Lily could understand Athena’s reaction; she was just a young girl who knew nothing, and she herself would be just as startled.

She was calm now because she had learned a lot after becoming pregnant, allowing her to respond so gracefully.

Athena, knowing nothing, believed Lily’s words completely, "Really? Does the baby know I’m touching him (her)?"

She tentatively touched Lily’s belly again, but this time she didn’t feel the baby moving, so she started to doubt Lily’s words, "Why is the baby not moving now?"

"The baby can’t move all the time; they need to rest too." Seeing Athena filled with curiosity, Lily explained with a smile.

"Isn’t that amazing?"

Athena sounded like she was hearing a sci-fi story, feeling that pregnancy was something especially amazing.

Lily nodded, "Yes, it really is that incredible."

She also found it amazing, amazed that she was carrying her baby, and more amazed that she would become a mother in a few months.

Many times, she still felt like she was a child herself.

"By the way, what exactly were you mad about earlier in the restaurant when we were eating?" Lily suddenly put away her smile and asked Athena very seriously, and earnestly. She almost forgot about the matter, but fortunately remembered in time, asking promptly to prevent forgetting again.
